At the price I knew up front this was not going to be real brass. It's a spray on coating that mimics brass. The match to real brass is poor, but for what I was using it for, it's okay. Bottom side of bail is not coated at all other than a dark finish. But again, for what I'm using it for is acceptable. Build quality is good.I bought these to replace missing drawer bails on a small sideboard I'm refinishing. They are similar to the originals. The build quality seems to be good.If you looking for real polished brass, look elsewhere and know that you're going to pay a much high price.

I liked that it matched the original piece that broke off my little chest.

Product looks very good on old antique table. The product did not line up with the existing holes in the drawer, which I had to drill/expand to make it fit.

This was a pull that I found that was almost identical to ones on a chest that I have owned for awhile. I wanted to put pulls on a small side table with drawers that matched the ones on the chest. This one is very, very close in color and design. But it is very "thin" and a bit flimsy. Would order again if I have another piece of furniture I want to bring into this room. Just wish the next time the pull would be a bit heavier.

We wanted a bright brass finish. What arrived was a dull, burnished finish, not at all like what's in the picture. Will be returning. The pulls appear to be well made and would be great if the duller finish is what you want.
