Nonfiction Reading Comprehension: Science, Grade 5: Science, Grade 5

We find this book a great asset for homeschooling. Not only is it a nice book for reading, it is factual with the scientific aspect so my son doesn’t find it boring as he does most reading “assignments”. He likes to learn while he is having his reading comprehension lessons so this book makes it easier to focus. The individual lessons are 3 pages long and consist of 1 page of words to practice, the actual reading page, and a page of questions to test comprehension. This is my favorite reading comprehension book so far by far.

Love these series, have been buying them for 3 years now. Very informational, my daughter has learned many facts about different things thanks to these books. I wish they make them all the way to 12 Grade.

Reading passages with questions after. Exactly what i was looking for. Each “lesson” is approx 2 pages with the passage and the questions. Used for a 4th going into 5th grade (during the summer)

I brought this book for my 9 years, 3rd grade boy. His reading level is S42 ( It's written on his report card). It is not easy to find a good reading comprehension book for him which is not only fun to read, but also can learn something about science. It is a little challenging for his level but he still can do well. I also recommend the "Read and Understand Science by Evan-Moor" if you are looking for a good reading comprehension book.
