What if the door closes on a chicken, will it kill my chicken?

Doesnt make sense people are losing their chickens to this door. Mine has a light sensor that you mount to the edge of the door . It shines an Infra red light accross the opening. if any chicken is blocking that light when it tries to close, the door stops moving until the chicken has cleared past the light sensor. I tested it thoroughly and it works fine. Maybe these responses are from people who did not setup the sensor or set it up incorrectly

can there be 2 manual open/close buttons for inside/outside operation, outside low temperature door opening prevention, how long is the powercord,?

No, the manual open/close buttons is stationary. The powercord is about 59 inch.
