Mini Subwoofer
Installed these in the rear position of my pickup to run with an amp as a kind of mini sub, they work great and have had no issue handling the power.

MASSIVE improvement!
I have a HIGH powered, 11 channel stereo in my Chevy Tahoe. The one issue that continually irked me is the fact that I would fry a set of mid-bass drivers in all 4 doors roughly every 12-18 months. The car stereo speakers, which are VERY high end with a high-end price simply cannot hold up to the continual "pounding" the receive as I drive with my stereo on, quite loud, ALL of the time! I am a HUGE audiophile and LIVE for music! The magnets on these instantly impress as they're massive compared to the magnets on the Focal speakers these are replacing. The sound response is superior as well, with more bass, more volume and equal clarity as the Focal speakers that cost 10x as much!I know these were not designed as a car audio speaker, but let me tell you, MAN do they do the trick! These are being driven with 75w each and they handle it with ease. They do not distort, do not break up and the bass response is incredible for a mid-bass driver!I've been doing higher end car stereo for myself and select customers for 30 years. I wish I would had ventured outside of the car audio marketplace much sooner as these are vastly superior to ANY 6.5" speaker I have EVER installed in a vehicle!IF installing in a vehicle, MAKE SURE you have space for the windows as these magnets are much larger than all car audio speakers I've ever installed.I highly recommend these. WHAT A "BANG" for the buck!!!Kirk

Good value
Bought this to replace a blown Klipsch pro media 2.1 6.5" woofer. This Goldwood woofer is rated to handle more power, it has a heavier magnet, and it has a rubber surround. It sounds good but it doesn't have the long throw punchy loud bass like the Klipsch did, but for the price it saved me from having to purchase an entirely new computer speaker/woofer system so overall I am happy with this product knowing it will likely outlast the OEM it replaced.

Awesome replacement for my 3 way Component system for my car door
I purchased 1 set because I was looking for a replacement Mid bass Woofer that had the same 89db range as the CT sounds woofer and it was the only one I could find. I was originally only going buy them because I was going to warranty the CT sounds woofer out but I thought that these actually had better sound bass and overall sound quality in my opinion was better. Don’t listen to the negative comments.

Unbelievable bass !
So I drive a 2003 Chevy Astro Van. It is stocked with a 2 way speaker system in the doors and a 2 way speaker system in the rear doors. Being a professional bassist I really like to feel that bottom end but neither have the room for nor want huge boom box 12 inch speakers in my van. To get the best bottom end, I bought a pair of heavy Bass 6.5 JBL's for the rear and was moderately satisfied. They did not deliver quite the low end response I was looking for but were decent. I wanted better so I decide to purchase these for the front. OH MY GOD. Took a chance on these and won the lotto. Firstly, when I took them out of the box, I was very encouraged as the magnets were super big and heavy. Nearly the size of the 6.5 front mounting ring. Secondly, if you want bass low end in your car with out big boom boxes this is the speaker for you. I really can't believe these deliver the bass responses really just about as good as a 12" boom box ( at the wattage level for me) for a fraction of the space and price. They won;t vibrate the car and street but those guys are rude anyway. I would not only recommend these to anybody just for a fat rich sound in today's digital environment but I bought a second pair to replace the JBL's in the rear. Blows the JBL's away. Zero distortion and lean too. This is with the stock stereo in my van too.

Foolishly design.
The surface has a problem not able to sit flat on the box cutout. the terminals facing upward so this blocked the speaker from sitting flat or being installed properly almost impossible to install???..

High end speakers at a low price.
I built a set of high end towers with these speakers and they did not disappoint. I was concerned at first that they would lack the bass needed since they were going to be used exclusively as sub woofers, but they came through.I have these in a 3 way configuration, with a crossover at 800Hz. All these do is bass and some very low end vocals. They do it well too. These can rattle my windows. Of course there's a limit to them, they are only 6.5", so you can't turn them up as loud as a 10" or 12" subwoofer and expect them not to start distorting. Even so, they can still get extremely loud with heavy bass, so unless you're planning on playing them in large halls or venues, they'll more than suffice at home. The sound can go very deep, rated at 29Hz and I do not doubt it. I played several songs that go very low and these had no issues reproducing deep bass at loud volumes. The bass is also tight, punchy, and accurate, not bloated.Seriously, at $25 a pop, I don't see what beats them soundly until you go up to about $80.

Excellent Klipsh 2.1 Pro Media replacement Sub
I've been using this woofer as a replacement sub since the original foam surround came apart. My Klipsh 2.1 was purchased back in 2003 and did it's job well for what it is/was. Comparing this woofer with a factory replacement I have to say this one does in fact provide better sound and louder volume though initially it was stiff and required break in time. Just over one year later and it is much better and seemingly a perfect replacement though now I'm using 2 Polk TSi 100's and a Dayton Audio 2.1 channel amp.
