It's not dense material but they are good articles. You pretty much get one tip from every article. I could probably condense what I learned it two pages but they give all of the evidence behind it.

This book is quite useful - it's as described. It gives the evidence for diagnosing based on physical exam. You don't waste your time on things that don't actually tell you anything, but you do know what's useful.

Good quality collection of the JAMA evidence guideline on the appraisal of medical literature.

This gives study results about what exam findings actually represent disease and which are a waste of time. Great for a documentation review as well.

I've taught physical diagnosis to med students, as well as other trainees at various levels, for almost 50 years. I thought I might want to brush up on some of the newer concepts, in which physical diagnosis findings are interpreted in a manner analogous to lab results, with such terms as sensitivity (how good a test is at picking up a disease in those who have it) and specificity (how good a test is at not "falsely accusing" the healthy. This book is exhaustive in its mathematical analyses and references, but you lose the forest for the trees. I'm sure it serves a purpose, but alas, not for me.
