Perfect fit
The sun shade fits my E39 perfectly. Easy to install and remove. Only drawback is size. Need to stored in trunk if you have a full car. The sleeve case is substantial and high quality.

Very Nice.
It fits nicely in the E39 5-series windshield and is very sturdy. Those who are taking off multiple stars because of fitment complaints are nuts. Yea, it's a quarter-inch shy of meeting the A-pillars on either side, so there will be a tiny sliver of light potentially coming through, but I guarantee you it won't be noticeably impacting the temperature in your car. If your car is out in the hot summer sun all day, even with the best shade, it doesn't matter. It's still gonna be a sauna when you return. These shades are mostly meant to prevent direct impact on upholstery and dash, so your surfaces can last longer and you don't burn your a$$.It's got a rigid core underneath the reflective material, unlike the cheap universal shades you get at Autozone/PepBoys. This may be a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it. It's a bit heavier than the universal units and doesn't fold or flex. I have this for a weekend fun-car, so I don't mind that it takes up slightly more space in the trunk. For everyday use it may be overkill for the price.Overall I like it because it fits nicely in my weekend car and adds a nice "OEM" touch.

Fits well, small gaps along the sides but is probably purposely designed so. Little pricey but itâs very thick and looks very good in my e39 when itâs parked.

Leaves 2 inch gap on one side
Nice heavy construction. Be aware however, it leaves a 2 inch gap on one side. Would be 5 stars if it was a perfect fit.

The best.
These are made by Covercraft and are sold as the UVS100 when ordered directly. The fit is a great and they are very nicely made. I've been using one of these daily for 12 years in another car and it is still holding together. Don't bother with other shades. You will wonder why anyone uses a roll-up shade when these exist.
