I'm sharing because I find detailed reviews extremely helpful if they contain details beyond "I love this." I hope this is helpful to someone else shopping._ I'm 5'7", weigh 150 lbs (sometimes 158 lbs.). My shape is hourglass, meaning I have hips (40") and a smaller waist (33") I am over 50, so I have done some shopping in my life. My US size is 10-12 at Macy's and 12 at Target._I like clothes that do not bind, loose fit, but do not look like I am wearing an old canvas bag._I like good fabric, and I am a longtime sewer, so craftsmanship of clothes is important to me. I look at the construction of a garment.So, these pants:_Linen fabric is quality and a mid-weight, no shine and has a great but subtle linen texture - the fabric is soft to the skin and does not scratch or itch. Good for three seasons in the north of the USA. The drape is excellent right out of the bag without ironing or putting them in the dryer for a touch-up. The elastic at the waist is about 1-1/4 inch wide and not stiff - the elastic waist could easily accommodate a waist 8 inches bigger than mine or more - it depends on the fit you like - I actually might make the elastic a little tighter, an easy 10 minute fix if you sew or know someone who does sew. The pants have two good sized pockets. The construction is excellent. The fabric is cut correctly so it drapes correctly._Depending on your lifestyle and personal style these pants can be worn almost anywhere besides a formal event. How you style with a top, shoes and accessories is the key. Definitely outside pants, not sleeping pants._When shopping online make sure you get a tape measure and know your measurements. I ordered US L and the fit was as expected for me - I could have sized down one size to a US Medium, but I like a loose fit. Also, make sure you look at the manufacturer's size chart, not the generic Amazon size chart to make your size selection._My photos are of the pants right out of the bag, and in front of a dusty (sorry) mirror, but hopefully they are helpful to you._I have been wearing them for a few hours now and these pants are so comfortable, so cute. Loose comfortable pants, looks great with a crop top or fitted tee shirt, and sandals. The textured material is thick, great for pants. I bought it one size larger for shrinkage so I could wash it. Warm/cold and Perma Press cycle and don’t over dry to control shrinkage.

I LOVE these pants. That may be an understatement. I am 5'5, 127lbs, and the mediums fit me nearly perfectly. I need to take in the waist line by just a tiiiiny bit for them to be perfect, but I also have a pretty defined hourglass figure (tiny waist, larger hips/butt), which is why I love wearing pants like these. I've spent years shopping worldwide for pants JUST like these, and these ones are among the most comfortable, durable, thick, and flattering that I've purchased. I have two pairs of the khaki and two of the black, and I'd like to buy more since I wear them daily, but...That's where my 4 stars instead of 5 come in. I've ordered from this company a few times, and the quality and color of the material is hit or miss and tends to change. My first pairs of khaki and black were thick, good-quality material, good and consistent color, but when I reordered another pair of khaki - this time in both medium and small to see if the small fit any differently - the fabric of the small was noticeably different. It was thinner and more yellow-toned than the medium pair I loved so much. I returned them. The mediums were fine; they were made of the same soft, thick linen my original pair had been made of, same soft khaki color, etc. A month later, I tried ordering another two. a medium pair of black and a medium pair of khaki, assuming the quality problem was perhaps linked to the small size only, but the mediums that just arrived are the color and quality I had returned before! In my photo, the pair on the left are the new pair that I'm returning. It's difficult to tell in a photo since you have to physically touch them to truly feel the difference, but it's absolutely noticeable in-person, so much so that I can't stand the feeling of them against my legs. The black was also the poorer-quality fabric. I decided to eat the cost and try washing them immediately to see if that helped, but even washed and air-dried, they're noticeably different quality from my first black pair I ordered two months ago.I'm disheartened - I want to buy so many of these so I never have to worry about ruining a pair, but I don't want to keep ordering and returning in hopes that the pair that arrives will be the quality and color I love so much. There's definitely a consistency problem, so be warned of that. If you end up receiving the better quality pants, you'll love them. I know I do.

I love these pants!!!! They are well made and the linen is not too thin or too thick. It seems perfect for summer and fall. The style is unique, having a lantern shape, that can be paired with tops for a casual chic look. I loved the first one I bought so I bought two more and they will be my everyday pants this summer and fall. They run large. I wear size 12 pants and initially ordered XL thinking that Asian made clothing runs smaller, but these don’t. I had to roll down the top band since it felt too long and roomy. I still loved them so I did not return them. I then bought large for the next two pairs and they seemed very close to the first one I bought. They are roomy too! They wash well and I have worn them straight out of the dryer. You can iron or steam them for a more polished look, but it is not necessary. I tried making linen pants a few times and it costs a lot more to buy the material and make them. This price is unbeatable and, I must admit, they are way nicer than the ones my sewing skills were able to achieve. I highly recommend these to other ladies who love roomy and comfortable cloths with a bit of style.
