Genuine and fit great in my 2011 Rav4

Works great in my 2010 Camry, even if Amazon claims otherwise! I bought these three times so far, replacing them every 2-3 years.

Perfect OE quality, perfect fit. I've used aftermarket filters from auto-parts stores and department stores and they never fit as good as the original Toyota filter. The flange seals on aftermarket filters are often inadequate and don't provide a good seal which is essential. With the Toyota filter, you can feel how good the seal is when you snap the air box closed - you can feel how tight the seal is.

This was an exact replacement filter for my 2009 4 cyl. RAV-4. Easy to install, and works as it should.

The footprint of this air filter (17801 YZZ06) is the same as the original OEM for a 2011 Avalon but is made different. The original is 17801 AD010 and has a pleat support in center. The 17801 YZZ06 without pleat support in center will work but in my opinion not as good as the one that came with car. Don't know if Toyota has quit making the original but I see on the internet they are still available. Wished I would have found out before purchasing what I thought was the original.

Some other reviewers have mentioned trouble closing the lid on this new filter. Just a heads up, if you don't have this filter seated down fully into the lower portion of the air box, you CAN still get the lid on but you will pinch and crush some edges of the filter. No, it won't ruin the filter, yes I have seen this 1,000 times on vehicles that were last serviced at Jiffy Lube. Try to pull the upper portion of your airbox up so the back corner of it isn't preventing you from sliding the filter all the way BACK and DOWN into position. Then look behind your air box and ensure the HOOKS on one half of the box are engaging the SLOTS in the other half to form a hinge, the close your box and close the snaps. It should be slightly snug from being a brand new filter but it should not feel like you might break anything.Good luck!

I don't think there is really much to say here. The air filter works, it fits, its OEM, it not expensive.If you are unsure if you can change this filter and were thinking about taking it to a shop, don't. It's as simple as opening the air filter box under the hood, opening a couple of latches, removing the filter, replacing it with the new filter, closing the box, and re-latching it.

Fit is perfect. It is a bit thicker than the old one I pulled out but experience wise, this is consistent with the ones I've purchased direct from the Toyota dealership. Good deal when on sale. Fit is better than the FRAM filter I had used in the past but if this was not on sale, I would have purchased the FRAM instead.Change it once a year. Though you may need to change it more frequently if you drive in dusty places. Pop it out every oil change interval and inspect it. You'll know to change it when you put it up against lighting and you can barely see light coming through the filter.
