Yes it is a bit flimsy but once it is hung the frosted glass shade gives a much higher quality appearance and no one will know unless they need to change a bulb. This will be in frequent for us because I purchased this to replace a single bulb holder that left one side of the room darker when a LED bulb was installed. This cheap fixture holds two lower watt LED's to fill the room evenly with light and actually looks better than the more expensive fixture it replaced.You get what you pay for is always true, but so is the fact this fixture is less than $18 so how can you go wrong. I ended up buying a second one to upgrade another lesser used bedroom.Update: Wow 2022 and they still sell these for less than $20. All I can add to the above is I have taken the shade off at least twice a year to clean dead bugs and they are still working and looking good. I have also found the open shade will increase the life of newer (hot) led light bulbs by allowing the hot air to escape.

I tried several fixtures for the ceiling of my daughters' bedroom before I settled on this one. I use LED bulbs and it really lights up the entire room. It is every easy to install and the shape of the glass shade seems to disperse the light across a peaked ceiling very well. I have had it for almost a year without any complaints (one bulb died, but that's not likely related to the fixture). Overall I would definitely buy it again.

This is an inexpensive fixture but it is also clean and minimal. However the plastic finial which holds the glass plate on is very cheap and the threads flex. This makes attaching the plate difficult. Go to a hardware store and for $2 or less get a real metal finial. This makes the fixture useful. From the side the light bulbs are visible (if this matters to you). I am pleased.

I bought two fixtures but only needed to install the shades to replace broken ones in a bedroom. They look fantastic and were stupid-easy to install. One note, the plastic nut that holds on the shade is very soft, so I could definitely see the threads wearing out if bulbs needed to be replaced often. I'd go with LED bulbs for the savings.

These were easy to install and with three high light output led bulbs they brighten the room significantly. The cover does not fit as firmly as I think it should and the construction is such that the bulbs themselves are visible from the sides because the cover does not come up high enough. Having said all this, I would probably order them again simply because there do not seem to be many multibulb ceiling fixtures that are just basic lights.

Easy to install in standard ceiling light box. Glass cover is a frosted white color; nice if you don't want an off-color light. Three bulbs provide more than enough light. Curvature of the cover limits the bulb size - larger spiral fluorescent lamps won't fit.

Easy to install, great value. I added some John Held, Jr. Jazz-age cartoons to jazz it up. Just paper cut-outs. I'm using LED bulbs so not worried about heat. Just scotch-taped them in so I can change them when my mood strikes me. I'm thinking color circles next... It's a great platform for creativity.

A “milk” white shade allows very little light to pass though to light up the area. I do not recommend this light for that reason.
