Rough Country Cold Air Intake for 2015-2020 Ford F-150 | V8/5.0L - 10555

Superb performance and love the sound! Not hard to install

Had a broken vacuum line hose fitting on my factory ford intake hose on my 2017 F150 with the 5.0. Instead of buying a new plastic hose from Ford for around $100, I decided to source a metal intake instead to try and avoid this issue in the future. Found this Rough Country intake for around $130 and decided to try it out. Install was fairly easy and took me around 45 min to do with very basic hand tools. Vacuum hoses fit no problem and has a nice grumble to it as an added bonus. Would purchase again!

So like a lot of other people that have reviewed this product, it arrives scratched on one end for some reason, and it is a little difficult to get the PVC hose hooked in, but it does go in. Overall for the price, you get what you pay for. If you spend $130 on this versus $350 on another CAI, you know the quality is not going to be as good. The air filter box had the tabs slightly bent, so I had to bend those back in place, and when I placed it on the vehicle, it was a very loose fit. I took it back off bent the tabs up slightly higher to grab the box a little better, and that fixed the problem. Again you're buying a cheaper product that's going to require some extra work to make it work right. Don't complain about the cheapness of it when you know you didn't spend that much money on it. So far I like the new growl, and the boost in horsepower. If everything was perfect on it it would have gotten five stars.

Poor quality. Both ends of intake tube were bent, inside of the tube was buffed very rough with metal shavings. Can be very harmful. You can tell this is mass produced with zero quality control

Makes my engine sound GOOD, easy to maintain and is a fantastic price!

ConsFinish isn’t great on the pipe, and inside of the pipe is rough and oversprayed.Also the clamps are worthless. One was locked up out of the box and snapped when I tried to work it free. RC customer kindly showed me where to buy a new one instead of replacing it for me.ProsCheaper than other setups.Great throttle noise.If I had to do it again, I would buy something else. Attention to detail is missing. Same for customer service. This is first RC product.

The media could not be loaded. Watch and listen to the video. I hear a very audible difference in sound from before as stock to now with the cold air. Nothing else done and I love the sound. I'll update if and when I see any millage changes up or down and if I see any mph or tourq changes. Other than that, super easy installation about 30ish minutes and only one cut to the thumb. So I'd call that a win! There are a lot of install videos for this and the only 2 parts that I was really confused about was how to release the breather lines and where the big cone goes (hint it attaches to the box that the filter goes to "yes it fits" the intake tube) and how to get it attached.
