Nice lake trolling reel
Nice lake trolling reel. Have landed a couple nice sized Macks on it, drag held up well and the frame felt solid, didn't flex like some reels when you put pressure on it. For lake trolling a counter is a must and this one works far better than the average aftermarket ones that mount ahead of the reel.

Ideal walleye trolling reel
Great trolling reel, direct drive line counter, on/off clicker, selectable thumb release with on off switch, just press thumb button to release line, lift thumb to stop line release, no need to crank handle to stop freewheeling spool. Or switch to off to go back to traditional spool function. Good drag for walleyes. Like the low profile reel feels great in hand. Good oversized reel handles. Easily change out extra spools. Reasonably priced from okuma USA, be aware two different spools same model. Must be result of mid production design change. Look the same one fits the other doesn't. Look for secondary step on spool spindle. They had to go and check bin contents to send correct spools.

Very smooth reel
This line counter reel is low profile, smooth to reel in. Also a good drag and line out control knob. Love the spool bar instead of usual switch to flip. Only thing they could've done better is clicker switch is small and recessed, awkward on/off. Like the reel enough to now own three !!!!

Good quality and works as advertised
Needed a line counter and it works true to advertisement. Pretty smooth and easy to operate….aren't they all, though? Good quality…. for the price, especially.

Just tested reels out for 4 hours, the day after arrival.
Opened and inspected, checked all screws, all adjusters and switches. Everything worked good and smooth. The next morning I hit the water with the reels mounted on 2 new 8ft Ugly Stik Catfish poles. Put them through one of the toughest test, 4 hours of solid drift/drag trolling for catfish withe 3oz weight at 120 feet behind boat. I caught one 6 lb flathead and a couple Strippers. NOTE: WHEN YOU HAVE AUDIO CLICKER SWITCH ENGAGED, The reels doesn't free spool when thumb spool button is used in either mode- normal cast or drop and the second function of press hold release one handed line feed. I 1st thought one of the reels was bad but once I didn't hear the clicking from the other reel and it worked just fine, I knew that was the solution and the engage clicker alert button just exact that. Hope this information helps and yes I am very pleased. The line counter is awesome for 2 main functions- 1 is to know how much line is out when dragging to stagger lines from getting tangled and 2nd is to do suspect fishing either trolling or anchored above objects or depth fish are running. Note, to be accurate you need to do calibration, which involves the amount of line you have on spool for the last 100 ft. So, that's my experience and feedback on this reel. Yes, I would buy again depending if they last but time takes time for this result.

Quality reel for a reasonable price.
I'm giving this to a friend. It's a nice size for Trout fishing.

220 yards of 12 lb fluoro
Great reel. Has a “flippin switch” which is hard to find on a line-counter reel, holds over 220 yards of Seaguar 12lb, light weight, bait clicker “noise maker” actually works and I just purchased another.Really happy with this reel in the lower Niagara River.

Great value for money
I like these reels so much I own 4 of them. 2 of the CV-354DLX for trolling Walleye, Steelhead and Salmon, and 2 of the CV-163DLX for deep water jigging Burbot and Mackinaw.I like the switch for optional clicker or silent retrieve. And the quick drop switch is just like the flippin on my Quantum Accurist baitcasters. These reels are great if you’re looking for something a little more compact than the Okuma Coldwater or some of the even bigger line counters.
