I bought this box to hold a friendship necklace and some other goodies and sent it off as a surprise gift for a faraway friend; a 'no matter where we are, we're always together' themed gift and it's perfect!The box came quickly and was wrapped in plastic to protect the wood finish - no scratches, dents or stains.I'm not sure why some customers are complaining about some of the boxes coming in damaged but mine arrived in good shape.This is a box that you would expect to find in a store like Pier 1 Imports, if that helps give you an idea of the style.I just love the design of this box; it's simple and has a classic feel to it.It's perfect for housing photographs or keepsakes from your travels.

I really don't write reviews but I decided to for this. I purchased this Used but Good Condition so it was about $14. My plan is to use it for snacks at work. It fits 6-2oz rectangle containers with room on top for a few small pre-packaged snacks.When it arrived, it was slightly dull in red wood color and a little dirty on the edges. There was a crack and broken piece in the wood. I don't know when that happened but with a little cleaning and some Modpodge sealer, it looks brighter and new. It does bleed red when applying wet to it. The sealer helped fix that. The latches are decent for my taste.It has a vintage type look to it. I am very excited to use this for lunch and maybe even a clutch bag for nights out! It definitely fits my phone(Samsung23Ult), pad/tampons, pens, small lotion/hand sanitizer, lip gloss, and probably a few other things. I plan on adding something inside to secure pens and a fork/spoon for my lunch.If you want a unique bag small things or to use this as a decoration for small things, its a win purchase!

Cheap looking and rusted.

Not worth the $17 I paid for it, more like a $10 or less item, but it's serving its purpose and not worth the return to wait before buying something else. Bought it to hold my cards, dice, miniature and pencils for D&D.Pro's:good size for my needsCute and uniquestill works well enoughCon's:cheaply madedoesn't line up quite rightone latch off a bit due to being misaligned when put together

This is perfect for the sole purpose for which I bought it. I use it to store the many power cords (i.e. for my cell phone, Kindle, iPad, etc) that up until a month ago where everywhere but stored away. I have it placed on an end table next to my place on the sofa. The design is what attracted me to consider this particular decorative storage box. Can make a great birthday/Christmas/graduation (I can keep going on here) gift!

Bought this item to recreate the carry potter trunks as I was gifting a Harry Potter themed present. It was perfect and looked vintage
