Linon Harris White Solid Pine Backless Nook with Interior Storage

I spent a lot of time deciding whether or not to buy this bench since it seemed to be what I needed, but the reviews were mixed, but I’m very happy I did. Here are the highlights based on my experiences and others reviews.- it is very heavy…in my book that is good. That makes it sturdy and it appears to be real wood and not pressed plywood for the most part- I had no damaged items. It was packaged well with styrofoam all around annd inside. Anything can get damaged and shipping depending on how it’s handled so not really sure that that should be a factor.- some people commented on the paint, not being thick enough. Yes I can see the woodgrain, but it doesn’t look bad. In fact it proves its real wood and if you really need it to be a darker white, you could just paint it in my opinion it looks good.- I put this together by myself and my 13 year old son helped me a couple times - which I would say was needed. It took a little bit of time, but like I said, it’s well-made. If I did it with out stopping maybe 1.5-2 hours…but I took my time and just did it within my evening.- everything was amazingly well labeled and easy to figure out what went where. The reason it takes so long is because there is many steps and they do things the right way, like putting stoppers for the seat tops and soft clothes hinges for the storage areas.- Tons of storage!!- perfect size…fits 3-4 comfortably on it (I have teenagers)- for that price, well worth it. I would highly recommend buying of this fits in your space and you need something like I did!Was not paid for this review, nor was given it for free, just a person who was struggling whether or not to buy this and could have used more info!

Very pleased! Didn’t use as intended design. Took extra steps to make it work for our application. We think it turned out very nice. Moved the connecting corner box down to make one side longer. Would be nice if the manufacturer designed it to be done this way. Installed bracing on wall to anchor the bench.

My only complaint is that it takes 6 plus hours to assemble. Even with 2 people it’s an all day thing. Love the storage space, I didn’t add the bottom shelf inside bc it’s thin and takes away around 5 inches of height to store.

The Linon Harris bench nook is high quality solid wood. It does take some time to assemble. Our assembly team was mother, grandmother, and twin daughters. The nine year old girls were like engineers reading the directions and following the diagrams. It was a great learning opportunity for them. All pieces were well marked for easy identification. The amount of storage is a big plus. One bench was quickly filled with children's games, art supplies, and books. The other bench was for table linens with space to spare. A few decorative pillows for back support and a beautiful dining nook was complete.

This is NOT white. It looks like it has 1 coat of primer over wood and looks really bad. Not sure if it’s always like this or if we got a bad shipment? It also has multiple scratches and imperfections. All 3 pictures are just 1 of the front facing sides showing 2 noticeable scratches/ dents. I needs multiple coats of white paint in order to look good so if you are looking for a white bench, prepare to spent time and money painting it.

Terrible assembly process that will make you lose your mind. A majority of the screw holes are not predrilled and pieces do not align well. Unable to insert some of the wooden dowels due to misalignment. Looks good once assembled but will cost you your sanity.

This will take two adults that pay attention to the assembly directions. It’s not that hard just unhandy for one person. It’s worth noting , this requires a lot of hand screwing and the instructions say no power tools! There is a reason. If you take your time don’t get in a hurry, and follow instructions. It’s worth it. It’s solid and exactly what I wanted. This is not for someone that doesn’t follow directions. They are important in fitting the final pieces together. The included hardware was all there with spares

Despite what some of the other reviews say, I found the instructions, both printed and the video quite helpful. The wood is superb quality, and its worth pointing out how nice the hardware is too. The wood screws are very hard metal and resist stripping quite well when using an electric drill to install them! Highly recommend this product!
