Works great. I'm glad I got it
I've had it for a few months now. Great fence to keep dogs and little kids from going where we don't want them to. It's straight and sturdy, unlike many others brands I've bought in the past. I also like that both sides have latches and are easy to remove.When in opened position, the top plastic bar does hit the wall, so it doesn't lay flat against the wall - the end is out about 6-12". It doesn't seem to stress the gate when I manually push it flat against the wall, so I'm sure I could put in a clip to hold it there, but it isn't a big deal for me.I think this was a great deal, and am about to get another to replace a different gate.

As advertised
It works as advertised and expected, I read a lot of reviews. I too was a little put off by the plastic, which looks like old yellowed plastic, but it kind of matches the color of the wood. Maybe when it’s warmer out in spring I’ll spray them with white plastic paint to match my trim :-) They have been great keeping my dog out of the kitchen. She’s a counter surfer, but isn’t destructive, doesn’t get into garbage or chew things in the house. My gates don’t need to be strong, just need to be there. She doesn’t try to move or get through gates.

Bought 2. Be sure to measure when they are closed. Other than that they work great.
