Has anyone that pays for gigabyte speeds get anything close to 1000 Mbps wirelessly? I can’t find a router that goes above 3-400 wirelessly

Routers that process "3-400 bps" are bytes per second. Read carefully, your provider is selling you bps= BITS per second. A scam.

Is the usb 3 port gen 1 or gen 2?

I didn't see any information in the manual about it being anything other than gen 1, but even then it didn't specify. However, if it was gen 2, they'd likely advertise that fact. So without any other evidence, I'd say gen 1.
